Powerdown configuration

The Powerdown feature lets you control when your board turns on and off automatically.
This is useful for saving energy or setting precise operating times.

You can configure:

  • When the board powers on (Alarm Time)
  • How long it stays on (Active Duration)

You can set one, both, or none — depending on your needs.

8.1 Alarm Time – When the Board Powers On

The Alarm Time defines when your board will automatically power on.
You can choose very flexible schedules — from every hour to specific days and times.

Setting Description
Repeat alarm If turned on, the alarm repeats according to your schedule. If turned off, it runs only once.
Hour / Minute Choose the exact time when the board should power on (e.g. 06:30).
Weekdays Select which days of the week the alarm should run (e.g. Monday, Wednesday, Friday).
Month day Choose a day of the month (1–31). Setting it to 0 means “every day of the month.”

💡 Examples

  • Tuesday at 6:30 → set Hour = 6, Minute = 30, Weekday = Tuesday.
  • Monday 3rd at 16:30 → set Hour = 16, Minute = 30, Month day = 3, Weekday = Monday.
  • Every hour at the 00 minute → set Hour = Every Hour, Minute = 00.

If Repeat alarm is turned off, the board will power on at the scheduled time only once, and then stay on indefinitely.

8.2 Active Duration – How Long the Board Stays On

The Active Duration defines how long the board stays powered on before it turns off again.
This value is in seconds (e.g. 300 seconds = 5 minutes).

If you enabled Repeat alarm, the board will:

  1. Power on at the scheduled time.
  2. Stay on for the number of seconds you set.
  3. Power off automatically.
  4. Power on again when the next alarm time is reached.

If you disable Repeat alarm, this duration has no effect — the board will stay powered on until manually turned off.

8.3 Select Which Settings to Update

At the top right of each section (Alarm Time and Active Duration), there’s a small switch.
You can turn these switches on or off to decide which settings will be updated when you click OK.

For example:

  • Turn on Update alarm only → changes the alarm schedule but not the duration.
  • Turn on Update duration only → changes how long the board stays on, but keeps the same alarm time.
  • Turn both on → update both at once.

8.4 Global Settings

At the bottom, the Global settings section lets you choose what happens right after you apply the configuration.

Option Description
Stay on after apply When enabled, the board stays powered on after saving the configuration. By default, it powers off immediately.
