RS-485 is a standard defining the electrical characteristics of drivers and receivers for use in serial communication systems.RS-485 uses differential signaling over twisted pairs and three-state logic, allowing individual transmitters to be deactivated. These properties enable the implementation of a linear bus topology using only two wires (usually named A and B) and support digital communication over long distances, even in electrically noisy environments. RS-485 is highly valuable in industrial control systems and similar applications.
Board part numbers are typically formatted as follows:
CADS-<dimensions>-<version>-<casing>-<connectivity>
8 digits, with the first 4 representing the width and the subsequent 4 representing the height of the board, both in millimeters.
For instance,03000150
stands for 300x150mm surface.
This letter is provided by Centiloc as an indicator, representing the version of the overall design.
Two letters are possible, each corresponding to the surface format:
O
for OEM (original equipment manufacturer) format, representing the electronic board without any casing.C
for Casing format, representing the electronic board with a protective and isolating casing."
All casing information, including dimensions and weight, is available in the corresponding CADS datasheet.
Two letters represent the connection options between the board and the HAAS platform:
W
for Wireless interface or Wi-Fi.S
for Serial interface using custom Modbus over RS485.
